The winery is named after the predominant peak in the Richmond Ranges, the craggy mountain range that overlooks the Wairau Valley. Mount Riley evokes an immediate image of Marlborough, and the wines are classic expressions of the best of the region and Mount Riley’s mission is to produce premium quality Marlborough wines.

Sauvignon Blanc 2004/2005 (RV)

Brilliant pale green color that has a powerful aroma, exhibiting intense green grass herbaceousness and hints of tropical lime. A full flavored wine with complex layers of fruit ranging from tropical mango to earthly capsicum flavors. The palate is long with crisp acidity and excellent mouthfeel. (Stelvin Cap).

Riesling 2003 (RV)

This Riesling was picked and fermented cool to emphasise the natural fruit character of the wine. The bouquet is intensely aromatic exhibiting floral and lime aromas. The palate is soft and long with a hint of sweetness balancing the acidity. (Stelvin Cap).

Pinot Noir 2004 (RV)

Mid red intensity with purple hues. This wine has ripe berry, strawberry and attractive oak aging, with slight smokiness. These aromas carry through to the palate with intense mouthfilling strawberry and berry fruit flavors with a firm tannin finish. (Stelvin Cap).

Merlot Cabernet Franc 2001 (RV)

An excellent season has produced fully ripe fruit of outstanding quality. The wine was aged in French and American Oak barriques for eight months resulting in a full-bodied complex wine. Full of lovely berry fruit and well balanced oak characters. Easy drinking style.

Savee Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc 2005 (RV)

Powerfully aromatic , exhibiting lime, tropical fruit with an attractive herbal character. Its fresh, Its zingy and lively, with a crisp acidity. Great for all occasions particularly sitting in the shade on a hot summer day watching the world go by. If you love Sauvignon Blanc you just have to try it with bubbles.

Seventeen Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2004/2005

A premium Sauvignon Blanc produced from carefully selected parcels of hand picked fruit from several vineyards throughout the Wairau Valley. This wine exhibits attractive gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours with complexity from the oak barrel fermentation and maturation on lees.

Seventeen Valley Pinot Noir 2002/2003

This premium Pinot Noir is produced from carefully selected parcels of exceptional grapes grown at the Seventeen Valley vineyard south of Blenheim. This wine has a fine deep colour with an attractive cherry and plum nose. This is a full-bodied Pinot Noir with fine tannins. Showing lots of class already. An outstanding example.
