Doolhof, meaning maze or labyrinth,
is surrounded on three sides of mountains and over
the centuries has been the jewel in the Bovlei valley.
The first of today’s vines were planted in
1995. Under new ownership in 2003, a wnery, tasting
and storage complex was established and by 2005
Doolhof was able to claim Estate status, which has
now been formally granted.
The new, young team has a vision…. “to
promote and deveop the quality of Doolhof Estate
Wines trhough the excellence of our staff, whilst
building our existing viticulture, wine making,
climate and terroir.”
