Situated at the forefront of innovation
and quality in the exciting region of TORO (Northern
Spain) is BAJOZ.
Combining great, low-yielding old
vines, the TINTA DE TORO varietal and state-of-the-art
wine making equipment, BAJOZ is producing some of
Spain’s Premium wines-and this is only the
beginning.
BAJOZ wines range from delicious,
rich and soft but deeply flavoured fruit driven
young wine through to the complex oaked aged Crizana
on to tiny quantities of Reserva and Gran BAJOZ
for laying down. Not only that, all BAJOZ red wines
are made from hand picked grapes from their own
vineyards. Strict vineyard controls are managed
by their own vineyard managed team, which are low
yielding and are not irrigated. All their wines
are subjected to strict regulations before release.
Ovacion
Rueda 2004 (RV)
Light straw in colour. On the nose, a wine full of
fresh tropical fruit, with a touch of citrus (limes
and lemons). On the palate there's fleshy fruit, well
balanced acidity and a mouth watering finish. Slightly
more lively acidity than the 2003 due to the colder
temperatures during August 2004.

Cano

Deep, intense cherry red in
colour. On the nose, intense and concentrated black
and red berry fruits (cherry, raspberry etc.), whilst
on the palate it is full-bodied yet easy-drinking
and very juicy. Bursting with personality and fresh,
concentrated mature berry fruit. Nice structure and
soft tannins. The Garnacha adds suppleness. Pleasant

Crianza
Tinta de Toro 2001 (RV)
Crianza Tinta de Toro 2001 (RV) (1500ml)
A perfect example of how Spain has changed! This wine
is unmistakably Spanish but with modern flavours.
On the nose, it is intense and clean with notes of
vanilla, toast, mature berry fruits and liquorice.
On the palate, well structured & fleshy with notes
of fruit and oak and a long, long finish. Big, bold
and complex.
An expressive and elegant nose
with extremely complex aromas and never-ending hidden
layers which can be more fully appreciated after time
in the glass. Elegant integrated oak (which will further
integrate with ageing) with hints of mature fruit
ie: currants, raisins and blackberries (Christmas
cake flavours) and dark chocolate. On the palate,
a perfect blend of unfolding soft rounded, mouth filling
flavours and delightful dried and mature fruit (raisins
etc) with soft sweet oak tones and a long, long finish.
Dark purple with
cherry & blue tones. On the nose, red & black
berry fruit (cherries, blackberries, mulberries),
blended with exotic spices & toast. On the palate
it is full-bodied yet soft, with a velvety texture
and rip tannins. A perfect balance of fruit and delicate
French oak with hints of sweet, spicy American oak.
Long, long elegant finish. THE FIRST UNFILTERED AND
UNFINED WINES FROM BAJOZ!!
