Sardinia, Italy
Visitors have long been attracted to Sardinia’s wild beauty and natural energy. Located amid Sardinia’s natural beauty, just north of Cagliari, is the Argiolas estate, widely known for its crisp and refreshing white wines and complex reds. Antonio Argiolas and his twin sons, Franco and Giuseppe, have worked diligently to fulfill their commitment to become the leaders in Sardinian enology. When they came into the business, the two Argiolas brothers adopted a new philosophy, coupling their father's passion for business with painstaking research and a taste for innovation.
Over the years the Argiolas family has strongly insisted on its native Sardinian vines, focusing on the indigenous white varietals Nuragus and Vermentino and the red varietals Cannonau, Monica, Carignano and Bovale Sardo. In 2004, the Wine Advocate praised Argiolas for producing, “essential wines for those looking to discover what the wines and viticulture of Sardinia are all about.” It's about a passion handed down from one generation to the next. Made up of equal parts of commitment, discipline and enthusiasm.
